Introduction of Safety Induction and Dangerous Goods Awareness Trainings

As part of our mission to increase safety awareness, our team is undergoing internal trainings by our Safety Engineer, Amr Saeed.

“Safety is a serious issue, and establishing or refining a sound safety program is imperative for all REDA members” said Amr. Safety Induction gives an overall view of the safety policy of REDA Chemicals and the basic safety precautions that should be taken when visiting a warehouse, factory, office and even at home. The trainings cover topics including: dangerous goods awareness, type of fire extinguishers, how HSE department make the Risk assessment, classes of fire, ergonomics and safe driving.

These type of trainings helps our colleagues to have a brief information about the classes of chemicals that REDA Chemicals deal with, dangerous level of each chemical class, type of fire extinguishers that should be used based on the IMDG of each chemical, type of packaging and how to respond in case of a chemical spill. The trainings are interactive and employees participate in a number of exercises to put the practice into learning.

These sessions will run frequently across all our offices to raise constant awareness.
