REDA Oilfield Recent Participation In ChemIndix 2013

REDA Oilfield recently participated in ChemIndix 2013 the 9th International Chemistry in Industry Conference and Exhibition, ChemIndix 2013 Opening Ceremony held 2 – 6th November 2013 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As official Gold Sponsor of the event REDA Oilfield were highly active both in the exhibition and the technical sessions with representation from both REDA Oilfield UK and REDA Oilfield KSA attending.

The event was hosted and organised by the American Chemical Society and included Saudi Aramco, Bapco, Dupont, Sadara and Naizak.

REDA Oilfield hosted a prominent corner booth which received numerous visitors from across the chemical and oil and gas industries.

REDA Oilfield were honoured to receive Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa the Advisor for Industrial and Petroleum Affairs for HRH  Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime minister of Bahrain and Patron of ChemIndix 2013 at their booth, where he was introduced to Managing Director Gordon Moir and the rest of the REDA Oilfield team.

Following the meeting Gordon Moir commented that “His Royal Highness displayed a keen interest in the activities of REDA Oilfield within the Oil and Gas Industry and the importance of the role of chemistry and chemicals within the industry.

The well supported technical sessions focussed on “Energy Transformation: Feasibility to Sustainability” with sessions dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with the growing global demand for energy and its associated supply. Key session covered scale and corrosion mitigation, production and oilfield technologies, environmental issues and solutions and refining and petrochemicals Processes.  REDA Oilfield Technical Director Catherine Strachan gave a well received presentation on “Proven methods for Scale Control in the Oilfield.”

In acknowledgement of their active and valued participation in ChemIndix 2013, Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa the Advisor for Industrial and Petroleum Affairs and representative of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, presented REDA Oilfield with a recognition award.  The award was accepted on behalf of REDA Oilfield by Area Sales Manager Hans Kinan Samman.
